Frequently asked questions
The sloth answers a few before you have to ask.
What does Clothster actually do?
Photograph your wardrobe and a reference photo of yourself. Tell the sloth what the day looks like. Clothster picks an outfit from your clothes and renders an image of you wearing it. No styling skills required.
Whose face is in the rendered image?
On the free tier — a stand-in. Your real face is hidden. Free looks are published to the public discovery feed, so we anonymize them at the prompt level. On Clothster Plus, you choose per-look whether the render is public-anonymized or private with your full likeness preserved.
How accurate is the rendered look?
It is an AI render — not a photograph. Fabric drape, fit, and proportion are approximate; the goal is to help you decide whether the combination is worth wearing in real life, not to predict a tailor's result. Items recognizably from your wardrobe show up; small details (zips, prints, exact stitching) may drift.
How many wardrobe items can I add?
Free tier is capped — enough to test the experience but not to fully catalogue a closet. Plus raises the cap dramatically. Exact numbers are on the pricing page.
How many looks can I generate per day?
Free tier hands you a daily pool of look credits that refill on a rolling 24-hour basis. Plus removes the daily ceiling so you can iterate as much as you want.
What happens to my photos?
Wardrobe photos and your self-photo are stored privately and only used to render your looks. They are never published or sold. Free-tier rendered looks (with face anonymized) appear on the public feed; you can always switch to Plus to keep new looks private. See our Privacy Policy for the details.
Can I delete my data?
Yes. You can delete individual wardrobe items, individual looks, your self-photo, or the entire account at any time. Deleted content is scheduled for hard purge after a short retention window. Email clothster@vynt.eu if you need help.
How does cancellation work?
Cancel any time from your account. The paid period runs to its end — no refund, no rolling charge. After it ends you drop back to the free tier. Your wardrobe and past looks stay. New looks generated after the downgrade follow free-tier rules (anonymized + public).
Why does my rendered look show a stand-in instead of me?
You are on the free tier. Free looks publish to the public discovery feed, so the render uses an anonymized composition that hides your face, tattoos, and other identifying marks. Upgrade to Plus and any look you mark private will keep your full likeness.
A look came back broken / I was charged a credit. What now?
If the AI fails or the safety filter blocks the render, your credit is refunded automatically and you can try again. If you think a charge or credit was wrong, email clothster@vynt.eu with the look URL and we will sort it out.
Can I change my display name?
Yes — open your wardrobe page and click the pencil next to your name. Name changes are reviewed by an admin (usually within a day) before they apply, so the public feed stays free of impersonation and slurs.
